What is Teeth Whitening in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire?
How are teeth whitened at Market Rasen, Lincolnshire?
At Wolds Dental Studio in Market Rasen, we use a teeth whitening treatment from WhiteWash Laboratories.
For most patients, this consists of a couple of appointments at our dental surgery which last about 45 minutes each. During this process we will cover your teeth in a whitening gel and then place a special whitening lamp over your teeth. You should notice a difference after these appointments.
After your first teeth whitening appointment with us, we will take images of your teeth which will be used to make up your bespoke teeth whitening trays.
Once these are ready, your cosmetic dentist will show you how to wear your teeth whitening trays. Then each night you fill your trays with the prescribed amount of teeth whitening gel given to you by your dentist, and you sleep with your trays covering your teeth.
During the night, the teeth whitening gel will slowly and gently whiten your teeth to your chosen shade.

Frequently Asked Questions about Teeth Whitening
How long do teeth whitening results last?
This will be different with each patient and will depend upon your dietary habits. To keep your teeth staying whiter for longer, it is best to stop smoking and avoid consuming dark-coloured foods and drinks.
Will teeth whitening work on composite bonding?
Teeth whitening will only work on your natural teeth. It will not change the colour of veneers, composite bonding, crowns, bridges or dentures. If you are looking to get any other treatment such as dental bonding, we would recommend getting your teeth whitened first and then get the composite bonding to match your new shade of whitened teeth.
What happens if I notice tooth sensitivity when whitening my teeth?
It is not uncommon to notice some sensitivity to teeth during the teeth whitening treatment. This is temporary and will wear off. It is not harmful to your teeth. You can speak to your dentist for more advice if it is really bothering you.
