What is the process for Same Day Teeth?
Your consultation with our treatment coordinator
At the initial consultation, the treatment coordinator, who is a trained implant nurse, will discuss your options and take photographs of your mouth, make sure your medical history is complete and explain the whole procedure, pricing and timing. Your questions and concerns shall all be discussed in preparation for your in depth consultation with the surgeon.
We will use our CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scan to produce accurate images of your teeth and gums which will allow us to accurately place the dental implants into your jaw.
Dental implant surgery
At the dental practice in Market Rasen, you will be given a local anaesthetic to numb the chosen areas in your mouth.
The dental implant post or dental implant posts will be gently inserted into your jawbone. Once the titanium posts have been inserted into your gums, you will be given a temporary set of prosthetic teeth so that you can leave the dental practice with same day teeth and without any gaps in your mouth.
Healing period
During this time your gums need a chance to recover, and this also allows the dental implant posts to fuse securely to your jawbone acting as your new permanent tooth root.
The healing period usually take between 2 and 6 months and during this time, we will make up your unique bridge containing your bespoke set of permanent prosthetic teeth.
Fitting of your new restoration
After your healing period has finished, we will invite you back to the dental practice in Market Rasen to have your bespoke bridge fitted to your dental implant posts. This will contain your new set of permanent teeth allowing you to smile again with confidence, eat all your favourite foods.
It’s important to keep a good oral hygiene after having your dental implants fitted as it keeps your gums healthy and prolongs the longevity of your dental implants. You need to brush and floss regularly as well as maintaining your visits to your dentist and hygienist.

How is teeth in a day possible?
Traditionally, the dental implant posts would not be able to take the weight of a dental bridge immediately. New designs in dental implants mean that they can take the weight of a temporary set immediately. The temporary set of teeth are made to be slightly short of your natural bite so although they feel natural, they won’t be too heavy. After 3 months, your permanent set of teeth can be fitted and attached to your dental implant posts.
Can I eat as usual after having same day teeth?
Each patient is different, but as a general rule, we recommend that patients eat a softer diet after having teeth in a day and then, in time, progress on to eating as normal.
Can same day teeth replace my decaying teeth?
Yes, teeth in a day dental implants can replace either missing or failing teeth. At your initial consultation, we will examine the health of your teeth. We will only suggest removing your teeth if they are in extremely poor condition or affecting the health of your other teeth.
